If possible, this is the first place I go for food when I've flown over from San Diego to visit my mum in Coventry.
The fish has always been excellent. Tastes fresh and a 'Large' is huge. Both the fish and the chips taste just right to me after about 10 minutes wrapper in paper (smothered in salt and vinegar of course.)
I should warn you that the chip portions are very generous - don't over order.
There is a lot more on offer - I like the mushy peas. Have not had time to sample the pies, chicken, etc.
Staff always friendly and obliging. What more can you ask for? -

This chippy isn't the most reliable; sometimes the fish is fresh and tasty, sometimes it's dry and stale. Yes, Coventry is the most landlocked city in the country, but that's no excuse - even Cov market has daily fish deliveries these days!
On the whole though, it's one of the better chippys in Coventry, selling a wide range of fish varieties, chicken, kebabs etc and fairly reasonable prices. They have a deal of the day that changes depending on the day of the week, and these are usually good value. The shop and street parking outside gets busy at peak times but the staff are very friendly and efficient.
